As a team, we haven't really put much thought about doing anything on April Fools. We've always liked the way Google handled their pranks and announcements and we took some inspiration from it along the years.

In 2019, in a time when our userbase was practically begging for a Crash game mode, we proudly announced its release on April 1st.

I mean, it wasn't a lie, the game was right there waiting...

We felt kind of bad afterwards, since Crash was a community favorite. Because of that, the team pulled a big sprint and got the actual game ready to launch after 20 days.

In 2020 we had a lot of fun in the chat by having text-to-speech algorithms recite what was being typed. And of course, the PepeWheel.

In 2021, we'll be taking a trip down memory lane by enabling a special set of chat emojis you can spam.
